Thank you for lighting a candle for Miranda.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  Austin is a beautiful child, him and Miranda share the same bright smile.  I wish I had more words but sometimes there are none.  I send love and thoughts.

I'm sorry for your loss.  I stumbled upon your page today threw a link on Christophers page.  I wanted to share with you that I am a special needs care giver.  I had the honor of taking care of a most precious Angel named Andy.  Special children truly bring to this world a pure unconditional love.  They have more courage than any of us.  I noticed a post about the smile.  It brought tears to my eyes because on what was my last day with Andy, in all of his pain and suffering he stared into my eyes for the longest time and lifted his hand to touch my face.  As if to say thank You for loving me.  The loss of Andy was so very painful.  It was like loosing one of my own children.  I cant imagine how hard your son's loss has been on your family.  My heart goes out to you.  Another reason I wanted to write was Andy's sister and I created a web site as a gift to his parents on an anniversary of his passing.  The site is a great way to honor the person he was.  What it's all about is random acts of kindness.  Andy gave so much to all of us and taught us to love and care about others so unconditionally.   We have business cards that we pass out.  they say you have been touched by an And's Angel.  This card is not meant to be kept but passed on.  Please do another random act of kindness for someone else.  It's all about making a diffrence in the world in his honor.  The web site is a place for people to go and write stories about how someone did a random act of kindness for them or write about how they did something nice for someone else.  It's been several years since Andy passed away and I still pay for the person at the drive threw behind me and leave a card or buy dinner for a homeless person, help a neighbor.  I am always looking for something kind to do for another human being.  This is what being around Andy taught my three sons.  Andy lives threw them in the random things we do for others.  Anyway I thought I would share this idea with your family.  It might be a neat thing for your family to try.  It feels so good to be proactive and do something good threw all the grief we have found a way to do happy things.  The site is www.myAndysangels.com.  It's not on a search engine you have to type in the whole thing.  Your family is in our prayers.  If you get a chance write on our page and let us know what you think of our idea.

Within those words lie lots of things

It means I love you first of all,

But most of all, I guess it means

At times like that, I question God,
Why let a child die?

Yes, I received God's comfort,
Though I'm grateful, I want more;

But, why my baby ... why my child?
Why did God put him on His list?

Did I love my child too much?
Was he too good for this old earth?
Had his purpose here been filled?
Was that why he was taken first?

I awake each day with questions,
I fall asleep at night, the same;
So many times I ask God why,
I'm both saddened and ashamed.

But then, in reflective moments,
When my prayers are most intense,
One word keeps going through my mind,
Patience ... patience ... patience.

Maybe now is not the time,
To explain this great heartache;
Even if I knew God's reasons,
What difference would it make?

Can't I just be grateful,
For any time we had?
Accept God's action without question?
Why is that so very bad?

What's my hurry ... why my pressure?
Is my faith not strong enough?
God will explain it when He's ready,
Surely I can trust that much.

God understands my broken heart,
He, too, gave up a Son;
He knows the pain of one lost child,
He weeps with me, and we are one.

Just as I talk to God each day,
I talk to my precious child;
I blow him kisses, and I say,
"See you, honey, in a while."
